Owen came down with a respiratory infection last Friday, so the weekend was spent with a feverish sick little guy and some seriously gross snot. Dave took him to the doctor's on Monday and endured what sounded like a traumatic (for both Dave and Owen) set of x-rays - no pneumonia, they checked him for the flu, not that, no ear infection, just a bad viral thing...so they were sent away with instructions for lots of rest and fluids. I spent the day with him on Tuesday, and by the evening he was clearly doing much better and was back at day care on Wednesday.
He still has a bit of a runny nose, but other than that he is back to his normal self!
This semester, I teach Tues and Thurs evenings, so I only get to see the little guy for about an hour in the mornings. Not so nice for me, but D has been enjoying his T/Th evenings with Owen. O is in a very serious Mama phase, and still only wants to be with me, not Dada, if I am anywhere in the house. But, if I'm at work, then he is more than happy to hang out with Dad! But, as much as I hate not getting to see him T/Th, I have all day off every Friday, so Fridays are full Mama/Owen time!
But seeing as he was still a bit on the sick side yesterday, we both spent our whole day in PJs just playing...not venturing out into the cold, cold windy day...and it was great!

Those chest x-rays are the worst! It's 2013--can it really be that hard to figure out a less traumatic procedure?
ReplyDeleteOwen's giggles are totally infectious. I love it. Is it almost time for his first haircut, or is he going to go surfer style?
I can't bring myself to take him for a haircut...so for now he'll channel California for us!
